3rd Annual Higher Ed Social Media Summit

I don’t keep a Google calendar but if I did, this would be on it:

3rd Annual Higher Education Social Media Summit

The summit will take place from noon to 2 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, June 14 during the PSU Web Conference. Thanks to Mark Greenfield for the heads up. I plan on participating, but I’ll be nowhere near Penn State that day.

The beauty of the summit is that you don’t have to travel to University Park, Penn., to get involved. The summit will be streamed live and utilize the #hesms hashtag for discussion on Twitter, delicious, Flickr, etc.

Discussion questions on the table include:

  • How mature is social media in higher education?
  • Who owns social media?
  • How do you measure social media?
  • How will social media scale?
  • What does the future hold?

I participated in the Higher Ed Social Media Summit last year and the content coming out of Penn State is great, well worth following the stream.Hope to see you there next week.
